Supportive Learning Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team at The Wolf Creek School Division. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs in an Elementary School setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with complex needs, promoting their academic and social development.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
- Assist students with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility.
- Support students with behavioral challenges, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.
- Experience working with students with complex needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a calm and patient approach to challenging situations.
- Ability to work one-on-one with students in an inclusive environment.
- Training or experience as an Educational Assistant, with a strong understanding of educational principles and practices.
