This pivotal role, reporting directly to the Vice President of Procurement, will play a crucial part in aligning procurement initiatives with WSP Canada's overarching strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, and vendor relations, specifically within the Canadian landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Leadership: Oversee and guide a team of procurement specialists, ensuring effective execution of their responsibilities.
- Process Development: Design and implement agile procurement processes and tools that facilitate swift project execution, including major complex projects.
- Supplier Management: Cultivate and maintain key supplier relationships tailored to the Canadian market.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the global procurement team to ensure successful deployment of procurement processes in Canadian operations.
- Compliance: Uphold all relevant laws and regulations, ensuring ethical and transparent procurement practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and act on opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements, adapting strategies based on market trends.
