Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate Staff Accountant - US Taxation to join our team in Burlington. As a key member of our US Tax group, you will be responsible for providing technical project management support on U.S. Personal and Corporate Tax projects, researching and interpreting tax legislation, and preparing all types of US tax returns.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the growth of our US Tax group and client management initiatives
- Provide technical project management support on U.S. Personal and Corporate Tax projects
- Research and interpret tax legislation, formulate solutions, and provide suggestions
- Bring significant issues or findings to the attention of the Manager or Tax Partner, along with recommendations
- Act as a coach to specific US tax staff, provide support and development, if deemed appropriate
- Prepare all types of US tax returns
- Assist other offices of the Firm as required
Requirements
- A willingness to learn the US tax system and tax return preparation
- Prior experience in Public Accounting is considered an asset
