Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Analyst to join our team at goeasy Ltd. The successful candidate will provide analytics expertise in support of our consumer lending business, easyfinancial, and assist in developing, implementing, and managing risk analysis, monitoring, and controls to ensure sound and consistent credit risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Mining, Modeling, and Analysis: Conduct in-depth analytical dives to diagnose, document, and report on the drivers of unexpected changes to portfolio/origination composition and credit performance across multiple lending channels. Communicate findings and future impacts to losses to management.
- Forecasting and Reporting: Maintain a standard set of risk and performance reports that evaluate the overall credit risk of the portfolio. Monitor and maintain comprehensive reports to identify delinquency and charge-off trends at the vintage and segment levels.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of quantitative methodologies, risk models, and tools.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
- Hold a University Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline (an advanced degree is desired).
- Exhibit superior analytical skills, including the ability to understand complex problems, detect trends, and analyze data to develop solutions.
- Understand data extraction/mining/modeling tools, including SQL; SAS knowledge is optional.
- Communicate complex information and concepts in understandable terms, tailoring messages and content to the intended audience.
- Adapt to an evolving environment with shifting priorities and the capacity to handle multiple competing demands within tight timelines.
