About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Analyst to join our team at goeasy. As a Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our consumer lending business by providing analytics expertise and developing risk models to ensure sound and consistent credit risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Mining and Analysis
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of credit performance and portfolio composition to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and maintain risk models to support origination, account management, and collections.
    • Perform credit strategy optimization, including customer risk segmentation and portfolio risk-reward profile analysis.
    • Forecast and track key business metrics, including loss rates, approval rates, and credit quality.
  • Forecasting and Reporting
    • Maintain a comprehensive set of risk and performance reports to evaluate the overall credit risk of the portfolio.
    • Monitor and analyze delinquency and charge-off trends at the vintage and segment levels.
    • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to understand the impact of exogenous factors on delinquency and charge-off levels.
    • Provide regular risk assessments and recommendations to Senior Management.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of quantitative methodologies, risk models, and tools.
  • Technical expertise in statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
  • University degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline (advanced degree desired).
  • Superior analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex problems and develop solutions.
  • Experience with data extraction, mining, and modeling tools, including SQL.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
