Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Day Care Service Educator to join our team at Commission Scolaire Central Quebec / Central Quebec School Board. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for preschool and elementary school students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, conduct, and participate in a variety of activities, including sports, cultural, leisure, and recreational activities, to promote the overall development of students.
  • Assist students with dressing, undressing, and personal care needs.
  • Record student attendance and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist students with meal preparation and ensure adherence to hygiene and well-being standards.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of students, administering first aid and medications as required.
  • Communicate with parents and staff regarding student behavior and progress.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, ensuring the upkeep of materials and equipment.
  • Provide support with homework and lessons, while respecting the teacher's instructions.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education diploma or degree an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and move equipment as required.
