Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Commission Scolaire Central Quebec / Central Quebec School Board. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in the development and education of preschool and elementary school students in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Conduct Educational Activities: Organize, prepare, and conduct a series of activities that foster the overall development of students, in keeping with the educational project.
  • Supervise and Ensure Student Safety: Ensure the supervision and safety of students in compliance with the rules of conduct, safety measures, and recommendations of parents.
  • Assist with Daily Tasks: Assist students with dressing and undressing, recording student attendance, and assisting with meal preparation and cleanup.
  • Communicate with Parents: Inform parents and all those concerned about a student's behavior, respond to parents' questions, and provide them with pertinent information on a daily basis.
  • Maintain a Safe and Clean Environment: Maintain order and ensure the cleanliness of the premises and upkeep of material and equipment.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Participate in meetings organized by the day care service technician as regards the organization and operation of the day care service, and attend information meetings intended for parents.
  • Support Students with Special Needs: May be required to participate in meetings to draw up an individualized education plan, convey observations, and make pertinent suggestions concerning a student with a handicap, social maladjustment, or learning difficulty.
  • Perform Administrative Tasks: May assist the day care service technician in carrying out certain administrative tasks, and may be required to use a computer and various software to perform duties.
Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
