Job Summary

The Day Care Service Educator is responsible for organizing, preparing, and conducting activities that foster the overall development of students in preschool and elementary school. This includes ensuring their health and safety, planning and participating in sports, cultural, and recreational activities, and assisting with daily tasks such as dressing, eating, and record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct activities that promote the educational, physical, and emotional development of students
  • Ensure the health and safety of students, including administering first aid and medications as needed
  • Assist students with daily tasks such as dressing, eating, and using the bathroom
  • Record student attendance and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in meetings with parents and other educators to discuss student progress and develop individualized education plans
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed
  • Use technology to perform duties, including computer software and online resources

Requirements

  • Secondary School Diploma and AEP in day care services or equivalent
  • One year of relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of English, with good knowledge of French an asset
  • Certificate in first aid and refresher course
