Job Summary

The Commission Scolaire Central Quebec / Central Quebec School Board is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Day Care Service Educator to join our team. As a key member of our early childhood education team, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment that fosters the overall development of students in preschool and elementary school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct, and participate in sports, cultural, leisure, and recreational activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Assist students with dressing, undressing, and personal care needs.
  • Record student attendance and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist students with meal preparation and ensure adherence to hygiene and well-being standards.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of students, administer first aid, and administer medications as required.
  • Communicate with parents and staff regarding student behavior, progress, and any concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, including the upkeep of materials and equipment.
  • Support students with their school work, while promoting an atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development and stay up-to-date on best practices.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a day care or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in software applications.
