Legal Freelance Centre is a leading provider of legal services in British Columbia, specializing in construction, commercial, and matrimonial dispute resolution. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Paralegal to join our team.
**Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with clients and opposing counsel to collect, review, and produce documents.
- Draft routine correspondence and pleadings, including form F8 Financial Statements, affidavits, notices of application, and lists of documents.
- Review and prepare transcript summaries, and assist lawyers with all aspects of trial preparations.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date files, ensuring compliance with BC Supreme Court Rules and court practices.
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
- 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in family law.
- Successful completion of a post-secondary LAA and/or paralegal program or equivalent experience.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of BC Supreme Court Rules, court practices, and procedures, as well as filing deadlines.
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of client service orientation.
- Proficiency in file organization, time management, and Microsoft Office applications, including Adobe and DivorceMate.
