Family Law Paralegal Opportunity

Our client, a leading boutique law firm in British Columbia, is seeking a full-time Family Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in family law, and a thorough understanding of BC Supreme Court Rules, court practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients and opposing counsel to collect, review, and produce documents
  • Draft routine correspondence and pleadings, including form F8 Financial Statements and affidavits
  • Review and prepare transcript summaries and assist lawyers with trial preparations
  • Manage multiple deadlines with meticulous attention to detail and exceptional time management skills
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Post-secondary LAA and/or paralegal program or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of Family Law Act and BC Supreme Court Rules
  • Experience with Adobe, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and DivorceMate
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
