Job Title: Part Time Case Worker Night

The Salvation Army is seeking a Part Time Case Worker Night to join our team at the Brantford Booth Centre. As a Case Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in need by providing guidance, resources, and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an active caseload and provide individualized support to clients.
  • Conduct intakes and assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized plans.
  • Provide problem-solving and referral counseling to clients, connecting them with community resources and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and other Salvation Army departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services.
  • Collaborate with front desk staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and respond to client crises.
  • Document client interactions and incidents in a thorough and accurate manner.
  • Work closely with supervisors to achieve program goals and objectives.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent, part-time position with 16 hours per week. Flexibility in scheduling is required, and shifts may vary according to program needs.

Shifts: Friday and Saturday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • University/College diploma in Social Services or related field.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certificates.
Experience and Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community-based resources and services.
Skills and Capabilities:
  • Competent in word processing software, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, including those with complex needs.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
