Systems AdministratorOperations Support Specialist- Intermediate

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Systems AdministratorOperations Support Specialist to join our team at Maarut Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality systems deployment operations and management services, ensuring the availability of critical applications and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage OPS services and underlying infrastructure, including mainframes, UNIX, Windows servers, storage, and network devices, to ensure they meet defined SLAs.
- Respond to high-priority requests and incidents, and participate in system recovery and service restoration efforts.
- Provide operational system updates, apply patches, and address issues related to these tasks.
- Initiate established recovery and escalation procedures, and implement change requests for mainframe, midrange, and network platforms.
- Ensure service level commitments are met for ITS clients and stakeholders, and broader public sector agencies.
- Participate in developing and delivering related training, communications, and procedural documentation.
- Participate in departmental initiatives, such as Shift left and Agile monitoring.
- Participate in yearly system trust audits and semi-annual disaster recovery exercises.
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- 5-8+ years of demonstrated experience supporting large zOS mainframe systems.
- Knowledge with Unix and Wintel servers.
- Service Management Tools such as eSMT, CIT, Remedy, and ITIL.
- Flexibility with working hours, including short notice for shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, holidays, or weekends).
Skill Set Requirements:
- Experience supporting large ZOS mainframe systems: 5-8+ years of demonstrated experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge with Unix and Wintel servers and Network Peripherals: 5-8+ years of demonstrated knowledge of server OS hardware components and end-to-end system management.
- Incident and Change Management: Demonstrated of Incident and Change Management activities, demonstrated ability for strong documentation and writing skills, and demonstrated experience in presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of System and Application Monitoring Tools: Demonstrated knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and performance tools.
- Knowledge of Service Management Tools such as eSMT, CIT, Remedy, and ITIL: Demonstrated knowledge of Service Management Tools.
- Knowledge of Communications, Collaborations, and analytics tools: Demonstrated knowledge of OS365 Suite of products and Power BI.
