Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a nursing home/home for the aged setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and ensure infection control
  • Apply aseptic techniques, including sterile dressing, and conduct specimen collection
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with the healthcare team
  • Ensure patients' nutritional intake and take vital signs
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience
  • Willing to relocate for this position
  • Criminal record check, immunization records, and tuberculosis test
