Position Overview

The Materials Management Specialist at Niche Bakers Corp. plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of supplies and materials across various departments. This position requires a proactive approach to coordinate logistics and maintain operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a similar role
  • Coordinating Activities: Collaborate with different work units to streamline operations.
  • Supply Monitoring: Oversee the movement of materials between departments to ensure timely availability.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports on inventory and supply status.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Arrange for necessary maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical advice and solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Warehouse Coordination: Work closely with warehouse and production teams to align activities.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Material Requisition: Order and requisition necessary materials and supplies.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with remote operations, including ships and aircraft.
  • Issue Follow-Up: Address and resolve issues related to work orders.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Scheduling: Establish work schedules and operational procedures.
  • Logistics Planning: Plan and oversee the logistical operations of the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise a small team of 1 to 2 individuals to ensure efficient workflow.

Technical Proficiency
  • Proficient in electronic scheduling tools and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Work Environment
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of handling heavy loads and working under pressure.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
