As a key member of our hydraulic engineering team, you will play a central technical role on all hydraulic aspects of projects, from preliminary design to execution at site, through model testing.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with hydraulic design engineers and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless project execution, while respecting technical requirements.
- Communicate with internal and external clients regarding hydraulic engineering aspects.
- Participate in model testing in our laboratories in Europe.
- Monitor budgets and schedules for hydraulic turbine passages, new machines, and rehabilitation projects.
- Perform transient analysis.
- Contribute to the development of hydraulic engineering processes.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's degree desirable.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in hydro engineering.
- Professional Engineer registered with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
- Creativity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong ability to work in a team environment and excellent communication skills.
- Self-directed and proven leadership skills.
- Available to travel across Canada, US, and Europe for periods generally limited to a few days, totalizing up to approximately 10% of annual work time.
- Fluency in French and English - spoken and written.
