Job Title: Hydraulic Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Project Engineer to join our team at ANDRITZ Hydro Canada. As a key member of our hydraulic engineering team, you will play a central technical role on all hydraulic aspects of projects, from preliminary design to execution at site.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with hydraulic design engineers and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless project execution and meet technical requirements.
  2. Communicate with internal and external clients regarding hydraulic engineering aspects.
  3. Participate in model testing in our laboratories in Europe.
  4. Conduct cavitation inspections and performance tests at power plant sites across Canada.
  5. Monitor budgets and schedules for hydraulic turbine passages development.
  6. Perform transient analysis.
  7. Contribute to the development of hydraulic engineering processes.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's degree is desirable.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in hydro engineering.
  3. Creativity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  4. Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
  5. Self-directed and proven leadership skills.
  6. Fluency in French and English - spoken and written.
