About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Project Engineer to join our team at ANDRITZ Hydro Canada. As a key member of our hydraulic engineering team, you will play a central technical role in the design and execution of our hydroelectric projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with hydraulic design engineers and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to technical requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external clients regarding hydraulic engineering aspects of projects.
  • Participate in model testing in our laboratories in Europe and provide expert input on cavitation inspections and performance testing at power plant sites across Canada.
  • Monitor budgets and schedules for the development of hydraulic turbine passages, including new machines and rehabilitation projects.
  • Perform transient analysis and support the development of hydraulic engineering processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in hydro engineering.
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
