Join Our Team as a Technical Support Specialist

Position Overview:
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting staff at various locations by providing exceptional IT support. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Generating comprehensive incident reports.
  • Assessing the urgency and severity of technical issues.
  • Resolving issues at the first level whenever feasible.

Key Responsibilities:
You will serve as the first point of contact for inquiries, delivering prompt and courteous assistance. Your tasks will encompass:
  • Answering incoming calls and addressing inquiries.
  • Managing complaints and troubleshooting technical challenges.
  • Providing general technical support and information.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • Availability for extended hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A High School Diploma along with enrollment or a degree from a college or university.
  • 1-5 years of experience in IT support or help desk services.
  • The ability to comprehend technical manuals and procedural documentation.
  • Technical proficiency in hardware and operating systems, specifically Windows 7 and Windows 10.
  • Familiarity with current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
  • A clean criminal record.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:
  • A college diploma or university degree in computer science or information technology.
  • CompTIA A+ certification.
