Job Summary

The Ethnic Food Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring that all dietary requirements are met.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that all items are properly stored and rotated.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management to ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that all food is prepared and presented safely and hygienically.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably in an ethnic cuisine setting.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate, Food Safety Certificate, and First Aid Certificate.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
