Job Title: Ethnic Food Cook

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Amaya Natural Foods. As an Ethnic Food Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, and maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and physically demanding conditions
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player
Work Environment:

Our kitchen is located in an urban area and is a central food commissary. We are a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

Cuisine Specialties:

We specialize in East Indian cuisine and are looking for someone with experience in this area.

Language:

The primary language spoken in the kitchen is English.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule is 40 hours per week.
