Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Guard to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular security patrols and respond to emergency situations in a calm and effective manner.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas, and enforce policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Investigate incidents and complete thorough reports.
  • Enforce parking and smoking regulations, and be aware of and enforce relevant laws and by-laws.
  • Participate in proactive and reactive security patrols, and provide patient watch services as required.
Requirements
  • Compassion, empathy, and a strong desire to work in a healthcare environment.
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate from a WSIB-approved provider.
  • Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test.
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination).
  • A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2).
  • Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check during onboarding.
  • Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of non-healthcare security experience required.
  • Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months.
  • Must have a reliable working vehicle in good repair.
  • Must be able to site train at all 4 QHC facilities.
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
