Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff at our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
  • Conduct security patrols and monitor CCTV cameras to ensure the safety and security of our facilities.
  • Enforce policies and procedures, and respond to incidents in a fair and impartial manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to provide a safe and supportive environment for patients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider).
  • Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test.
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination).
  • Immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2).
  • Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding).
  • Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of non-healthcare security experience required.
  • Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months.
  • Must have a reliable working vehicle in good repair.
  • Must be able to site train at all 4 QHC facilities.
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
