Position Details

Role: Full-Time Security Officer

  • Location: Victoria Park Harbour
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Compensation: $19.00-$19.50/hour
  • Note: This is a seasonal role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols
  • Spend the majority of your shift performing exterior patrols
  • Respond to incidents as they arise
  • Secure and lock washroom facilities
  • Ensure unauthorized individuals do not access the site after hours
  • Collaborate with Paladin and the Marina Coordinator to address ongoing safety concerns
  • Assist visitors as needed
  • Enforce by-law parking regulations
  • Prepare reports and maintain detailed notes
  • Complete daily shift reports
  • Investigate routine incidents
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Possess a valid Security License for Ontario
  • Hold a valid First Aid & CPR - Level C certification from an approved provider
  • Able to stand for extended periods (8-12 hours) during shifts
  • Capable of conducting thorough site patrols
  • Proficient in English communication (both oral and written)
  • Must provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
  • Applicants without these certifications may enroll in Paladin's training program prior to onboarding to meet position requirements
  • Please note: UoF/MOAB training is unpaid and is a prerequisite; however, Paladin will cover training costs with a commitment to the position.
