Job Overview

Paladin Security is committed to providing exceptional security services to our clients. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff at Belleville General Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular security patrols to ensure the safety and security of the hospital and its occupants.
  • Respond to emergency situations and incidents in a calm and effective manner.
  • Enforce hospital policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Monitor and control access to the hospital, including parking and smoking areas.
  • Investigate incidents and complete reports as required.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider).
  • Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test.
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination).
  • Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding).
  • Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of non-healthcare security experience required.
  • Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months.
  • Must have a reliable working vehicle in good repair.
  • Must be able to site train at all 4 QHC facilities (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, and Bancroft).
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
