About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Controller to join our team at our Vaughan location. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to our Canadian business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the timely completion of month-end financial close, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Analyze and reconcile accounts to ensure the balance sheet and costs are properly stated, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare and enter adjusting journal entries, maintaining proper financial records and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly operating cost variances to standard, prior month, and prior year, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain proper spending controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead and direct the budgeting process at the plant, developing and implementing financial plans and forecasts.
  • Lead and direct the annual standard cost roll at the plant for manufactured products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls, monitoring and facilitating Capex project completions and fixed asset capitalizations/retirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Travel and support to other sites as required (up to ~25% of time).
