About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pension Administration Senior Analyst to join our team at Mercer (Canada) Limited. As a key member of our pension administration Centre of Excellence, you will provide high-quality administration services to our clients, demonstrating exceptional customer service and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate pension benefits and prepare statements for various events, including termination of employment, retirement, death, and marriage breakdown.
  • Update client databases with accurate and timely information, utilizing various systems and databases.
  • Prepare annual statements for plan members and annual information returns, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Understand and apply the provisions of pension plans, including flexible plans, executive plans, and hybrid plans.
  • Administer complex pension plans, including those with flexible features, and respond to client and member inquiries.
  • Participate in special projects, such as plan termination, early-retirement programs, and pension indexation.
Requirements
  • Bilingual (French and English) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, actuarial science, mathematics, or business administration.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Ability to work in teams, with accountability and resourcefulness.
  • Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of the MS Office suite.
  • 1-3 years of pensions experience, with prior experience working with defined benefit pension plans and in an actuarial firm.
