Registered Practical Nurse Position at Braemar Retirement Centre
Braemar Retirement Centre, a respected Long Term Care facility located in Wingham, Ontario, is recognized as a proud RNAO Best Practice Spotlight organization. We are dedicated to fostering a collaborative and resident-focused atmosphere for both our staff and residents.
We are currently in search of empathetic and skilled Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) to become integral members of our team. Under the supervision of the Director of Care, the RPN will be tasked with delivering direct care to residents in accordance with our organizational policies, legislative requirements, and established best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to nursing care standards and organizational protocols
- Assist in the formulation of personalized Resident Care Plans
- Conduct timely assessments and observations of residents' health
- Uphold a resident-centered care environment
- Oversee Health Care Aides and Personal Support Workers
- Administer medications in compliance with established protocols
- Maintain precise clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with residents and fellow team members
- Provide guidance and training to new personnel
- Engage in mandatory educational and training sessions
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
Required Qualifications:
- Certification as a Registered Practical Nurse from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR certification
- Proficient communication skills in English
- Full vaccination against COVID-19
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in Long Term Care is preferred
- Additional training in relevant fields is advantageous
This position offers Full-time and Part-time opportunities, with shifts that may include evenings, mornings, and weekends as necessary.
