Registered Practical Nurse Position at Braemar Retirement Centre
Braemar Retirement Centre, a respected Long Term Care facility located in Wingham, Ontario, is seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) to enhance our compassionate care team. As a recognized RNAO Best Practice Spotlight organization, we prioritize a collaborative and resident-focused atmosphere for both our staff and residents.
The RPN will report directly to the Director of Care and will be entrusted with delivering high-quality resident care in accordance with established organizational policies, legislative requirements, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to nursing care standards and organizational protocols
- Assist in formulating personalized Resident Care Plans
- Perform timely assessments and observations of residents
- Foster a resident-centered environment
- Oversee Health Care Aides and Personal Support Workers
- Administer medications in compliance with established protocols
- Maintain precise clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with residents and team members
- Provide mentorship and training to new staff members
- Engage in mandatory education and training sessions
- Uphold health and safety standards
Required Qualifications:
- Registered Practical Nurse certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Full vaccination against COVID-19
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in Long Term Care is preferred
- Additional training in relevant areas is advantageous
This position offers Full-time and Part-time opportunities with varying shifts, including evenings, mornings, and weekends as necessary.
