About the Role

Braemar Retirement Centre-Wingham ON is seeking a compassionate and professional Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct resident care in line with organizational policies, legislative standards, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement individualized Resident Care Plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Conduct timely assessments and observations of residents to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Maintain a resident-centered environment that promotes dignity, respect, and autonomy.
  • Supervise and mentor Health Care Aides/Personal Support Workers to ensure high-quality care is provided.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively, following established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records, including progress notes and care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in education and training activities to enhance knowledge and skills in resident care.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and quality improvement by identifying and reporting concerns or incidents.
Requirements
  • Registered Practical Nurse certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • CPR certification.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in Long Term Care is an asset.
