Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Food and Beverage Company of Kanata Inc. as a Team Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of 5-10 staff members who prepare and portion food.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
    • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Support for Youths
    • Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People
    • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills.
  • Client focus.
  • Flexibility.
