Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Food and Beverage Company of Kanata Inc. as a Team Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet our high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and Implement Operational Procedures
The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for establishing and implementing operational procedures to ensure that all food and service meet our quality standards. This includes developing and maintaining systems for inventory management, food preparation, and customer service.
Supervise and Train StaffThe successful candidate will supervise and train a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting our quality standards. This includes training staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and customer service skills.
Manage Inventory and SuppliesThe Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for managing inventory and supplies, including estimating ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation. This includes maintaining accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
Ensure Quality ControlThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all food and service meet our quality control standards. This includes addressing customer complaints or concerns, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Support for Newcomers and RefugeesThe Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for recruiting and supporting newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster. This includes providing on-the-job training tailored to their needs.
Support for Indigenous PeopleThe successful candidate will develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations. This includes providing support and resources to indigenous staff members.
Support for YouthsThe Food Service Supervisor will offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the food service industry.
Requirements- Education
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
LanguageEnglish
Work Hours30 to 40 hours per week
