Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Food and Beverage Company of Kanata Inc. as a Team Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet our high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for establishing and implementing operational procedures to ensure that all food and service meet our quality standards. This includes developing and maintaining systems for inventory management, food preparation, and customer service.

Supervise and Train Staff

The successful candidate will supervise and train a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting our high standards. This includes training staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and customer service skills.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for managing inventory and supplies, including estimating ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation. This includes maintaining accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Ensure Quality Control

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all food and service meet our quality control standards. This includes addressing customer complaints or concerns, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees

We are committed to supporting newcomers and refugees in our community. The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for recruiting and supporting newcomers and refugees who are interested in working in our food service department.

Support for Indigenous People

We are also committed to supporting Indigenous people in our community. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.

Support for Youth

We offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, and the Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for providing guidance and support to youth in our food service department.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role

Language

English

Work Hours

30 to 40 hours per week
