Mackenzie Health is seeking a Behaviour Consultant to provide clinical assessment and treatment recommendations through a comprehensive behavioural approach. The successful candidate will design, implement, and monitor skill promotion and behaviour intervention programs, as well as develop and facilitate the evaluation of on-going education for community agencies and parents.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical assessment and treatment recommendations through a comprehensive behavioural approach.
- Design, implement, and monitor skill promotion and behaviour intervention programs.
- Develop and implement training programs for mediators, individually or in groups, in the principles of behaviour management.
- Evaluate and facilitate on-going education for community agencies and parents.
- Undergraduate degree in Psychology and related experience or equivalent.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and a vehicle for travel throughout York Region and/or Simcoe County.
- Current clinical experience and knowledge of behaviour therapy as it applies to developmental disabilities and positive sexuality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Proven attendance record.
- Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
- Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others.
- Ability to fluently speak French.
