Position Overview:
The Business Analyst is tasked with gathering information and documenting enhancements and maintenance for both online and retail channels. Acting as a primary contact for related development and integration initiatives with both internal and external teams, you will collaborate closely with end users, business units, and various stakeholders to identify and leverage opportunities for utilizing web-based technologies. Furthermore, you will seek to optimize business processes and support essential business strategies under the strategic direction of the Ecommerce Product Management Team. The Business Analyst will engage with project teams and assist throughout different phases of the development life-cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and document customer business functions and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement through information systems and/or operational changes; assist in preparing proposals for new systems and operational modifications.
  • Consult with internal and external teams to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, challenges, input and output requirements, and system access levels.
  • Serve as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical analysts, IT analysts, consultants, and third-party vendors during the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of projects to ensure optimal performance.
  • Analyze the feasibility of new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensure system designs meet user needs. Track and document changes for functional and business specifications; write detailed procedures that are universally understood for end users and training purposes.
  • Collect and prepare information and reports utilizing analytics, industry research, and competitive trends. Consolidate information into coherent and understandable correspondence for Product Management decision-making.
  • Participate in defining test cases and user acceptance testing, as well as testing new system functionalities. Develop training materials and conduct formal training sessions covering assigned systems modules.

Required Experience/Knowledge:

  • Must meet minimum time-in-position and performance management code requirements.
  • Preferred candidates will have experience in at least two of the following areas: web technologies, agile and waterfall methodologies, or experience in search or product finding technologies.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Adaptable, embraces change, and adjusts quickly to evolving work demands; prioritizes tasks in alignment with organizational vision and departmental objectives.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills are essential (Business Requirements Documents, Use Case development, Business process diagramming, facilitating information gathering sessions).
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Visio, or other web-based diagramming software.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and a highly motivated team player.
  • Technical knowledge of ecommerce technologies and web development is required.
  • A bachelor's degree/diploma or equivalent in a related field of study is required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a Business Analyst role is necessary.
