Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Liquor Store Sales Associate. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all customers are greeted in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Offer product expertise and guidance to customers, making recommendations and answering questions
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card, and other payment methods
- Receive, unpack, and display merchandise, maintaining a visually appealing store environment
- Perform opening and closing duties, including counting tills, reconciling inventory, and ensuring the store is secure
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including those related to liquor sales and customer service
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management, including supporting other team members and contributing to store initiatives
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age to work in the liquor store environment
- Valid ProServe certification required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues
- Previous retail experience an asset, but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to consecutively lift 50 lbs. required for unloading pallets
