Position Overview

Are you passionate about delivering individualized and family-oriented care? The interprofessional team in Primary Care is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to contribute to a transformative healthcare approach.

In alignment with a person and family-centered care model and the vision for an idealized service system grounded in Primary Health Care, the Primary Care Occupational Therapist collaborates with diverse healthcare professionals to formulate care plans and provide health services coordinated through a comprehensive care model. The OT adheres to the professional standards and ethical guidelines established by the regulatory body for Occupational Therapists in British Columbia.

The OT is responsible for delivering competent, safe, and ethical care to individuals and their families across various settings, including healthcare facilities and community environments. By employing evidence-informed practices, the occupational therapist aims to achieve meaningful outcomes related to clients' engagement in valued activities. Through thorough clinical assessments, strategic treatment planning, recommended interventions, and ongoing follow-up, the occupational therapist plays a vital role in the overall care strategy developed by the interprofessional team, ensuring alignment with the individual’s personal care goals.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - Day shifts - 08:00 to 16:00

Qualifications Required
  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Current registration with the regulatory body for Health and Care Professionals in British Columbia.
