Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist II to join our Primary Care team at Northern Health Authority. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care to our patients, working collaboratively with interprofessional teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans to address the needs of patients with various health conditions.
  • Provide individualized care to patients, focusing on their participation in valued activities and promoting independence.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based research to inform professional decisions and actions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote person-centered care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized Occupational Therapy program.
  • Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
