About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Z Accounting and Tax Services Inc. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and accounts of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial statements.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Perform various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, such as preparing cheques for payroll, reconciling accounts, and maintaining general ledgers.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and clients, including trial balances, financial statements, and other relevant reports.
  • Computer and Technology: Utilize MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and QuickBooks to perform accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Familiarity with scanners and other office equipment.
  • Area of Specialization: Accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail, and under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliable, team player, and time management.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
