The Real Estate Project Coordinator will oversee the successful and timely execution of the Real Estate Project in alignment with Sandvik and Sandvik Mining standards, Project Model, and Guidelines, with a strong emphasis on environmental health, safety, and compliance. This role encompasses the overall management of project scope, business requirements, and deliverables, as well as coordinating design and construction efforts with consultants, developers, and other stakeholders involved in the projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Establish and ensure adherence to a comprehensive governance framework for the project.
  • Manage and guarantee the timely delivery and quality of design contributions from stakeholders.
  • Act as the representative of Sandvik Mining to all external parties engaged in the project, collaborating with relevant procurement specialists. Lead project meetings, document discussions, and follow up on agreed actions with all involved parties.
  • Prepare monthly project reports for the Project Steering Group (PSG), including cost tracking and forecasting.
  • Organize, lead, and document Steering Group meetings while ensuring follow-up on agreed actions.
  • Develop a detailed Project Specification based on investment approvals and stakeholder input, including project organization and timelines, and secure PSG approval prior to project initiation.
  • Identify and maintain a Risk Register to document project risks, ensuring continuous risk mitigation actions throughout project execution and reporting to the PSG.
  • Oversee the coordination of inspections and acceptance testing.
  • Ensure the accuracy and currency of project documentation and schedules, including document control and database management.
  • Plan the transition and ramp-up in the new location, providing support and training for the organization during this process.
  • Assist the organization in preparing for and executing the divestment of the existing facility.
  • Manage project closure, including final documentation, training, and handover to the local Sandvik Mining team.

Candidate Profile

  • A degree from a Technical University and a minimum of 10 years of relevant Project Management experience in a large international corporation, or over 15 years of Project Management experience in a large international organization, with strong technical skills and experience in facility development projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, assertiveness, and a strong drive to achieve project objectives within established targets.
  • Results-oriented and open-minded, with the capability to motivate and coordinate teams within a large and complex global organization.
  • Experience and a strong focus on current EHS practices and regulations.
  • PMI or Prince2 certification is preferred for project managers.
  • A solid understanding of the permitting process and knowledge of local construction laws are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in budget control, planning, and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Relevant project experience should be documented in a reference list, including a brief description of the individual's role, project size, and main risks and challenges faced.
