Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at pt Health. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality psychological services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify diagnoses, level of distress, and functional impairment, and recommend treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based psychological treatments for complex psychological conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and concurrent disorders.
- Work autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary mental health teams to provide 1-1 psychological services and consultation to other team members and management.
- Develop and implement new mental health program content for various client groups, leveraging novel approaches to service delivery.
- Consult with other mental health service team members and clinical interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Contribute to in-house training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussions to enhance team knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university.
- Current registration in good standing with the provincial College/Board of Psychologists, with competency in adult populations and clinical psychology.
- Individual professional liability insurance required at time of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience conducting psychological assessments with adults for various goals, including treatment planning.
- Provision of evidence-based treatments grounded in cognitive-behavioral approaches.
- Development and evaluation of mental health programs.
- Working in interdisciplinary teams and with third-party payers.
- Utilization of telehealth/virtual care methods.
Additional Abilities
- Bilingual French and English is a great asset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work both autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teams.
- Efficient with required clinical documentation.
- Able to manage a diverse caseload within a dynamic work setting.
