Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Operational Stress Injuries Clinic team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will deliver mental health assessment and treatment services to Veterans and their families who are experiencing work-related psychological stress and trauma.
The successful candidate will provide education to various stakeholders, maintain contact with referring organizations, and utilize tele-mental health and other distance technologies to provide services in outlying communities. They will also work with the Canadian network of OSI clinics and follow the leadership of the Operational Stress Injuries National Network.
The ideal candidate will have a recognized doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, be registered or eligible for registration under the Psychologists Act of Nova Scotia, and have experience working in an interdisciplinary service delivery model. They will also have experience in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, substance use disorders, and PTSD using evidence-based approaches.
About You- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology
- Registered or eligible for registration under the Psychologists Act of Nova Scotia
- Experience in an interdisciplinary service delivery model
- Experience in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, substance use disorders, and PTSD
- Experience working with Veterans and their families
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relations
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
This is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
