Your Role:
In this position, you will oversee Team Leaders and collaborate with the Team Manager to ensure effective service delivery and compliance with regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Fostering partnerships across the council and with external agencies to promote a cohesive approach to care.
  • Managing a diverse team of social workers and support staff.
  • Participating in case discussions, court proceedings, and statutory reviews, taking the lead when necessary.
  • Developing expertise in specific practice areas and guiding the team in those domains.

What You Bring:
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and adherence to current standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the financial aspects of care packages.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to assess and mitigate risks.
  • Qualifications such as Practice Educator, AMHP, or BIA, or a willingness to pursue these.
  • Experience in safeguarding within an integrated care framework.

About You:
We are looking for qualified social workers with substantial post-qualification experience and a thorough understanding of relevant legislation. You should be a proactive individual with a proven track record of supporting colleagues and fostering professional growth.

This role requires travel within the council area, and a valid driving license or alternative means of mobility is essential.
