About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Level Design Director to lead the development of an unannounced project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating engaging and immersive game worlds that captivate players.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the world design director and other core team members to define the game's vision and direction.
- Develop and implement level design concepts that align with the game's overall narrative and gameplay.
- Lead a team of level designers to bring the game's world to life, ensuring a seamless and engaging player experience.
- Work closely with the art, design, and programming teams to ensure that the game's technical, design, and artistic features are balanced and aligned.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, helping them to grow and develop their skills.
- Identify and mitigate potential issues that may impact the game's development, ensuring that the project stays on track and meets its deadlines.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in the video game industry, with a focus on level design and game development.
- Proven track record of leading teams and delivering high-quality game content.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of game design principles, level design, and game development pipelines.
