About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Level Designer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a Senior Level Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-level concepts for levels, locations, and objectives within the project's creative constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-level concepts for levels, locations, and objectives, within the project's creative constraints
  • Collaborate with the Level Design team to bring levels through every phase of development from concept to polish
  • Inspire, guide, and mentor level designers on the team in the pursuit of strong, creative designs implemented to the highest quality
  • Make a difference by proactively communicating with stakeholders inside and outside the team, to drive understanding of project-wide issues that affect level design
  • Be the vision keeper for Level Design and work with art, game design, and engineering directors to ensure the game meets the Creative Director's vision
  • Incorporate feedback from research, playtest data, and community feedback to develop a great player experience
  • Evolving and growing every day by providing and soliciting feedback in a graceful, constructive manner, with suggestions and solutions for improvement to both process and project
  • Be accountable for the project quality targets as well as the results achieved

Qualifications

  • Shipped at least three AAA games as a level designer, or at least 5 years of experience in level design for live service
  • 5+ years of experience in a design role with leadership responsibility
  • Experience designing and building levels for multiplayer games
  • Level editor experience (for 3D engines such as Frostbite, Source, Unreal)
  • Strong documentation and visualization skills
  • Passion for playing and making games, with a deep understanding of what makes them fun
  • Multiplayer FPS level design experience is ideal
  • Navigate decision-making between multiple partner studios while leading a team during all phases of a project
