Carewest Innovative Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Aide (HCA) to join our team. As an HCA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients in the Rehabilitation and Community Transition Program (RCTP).
Key Responsibilities- Observe, monitor, and report on client status and condition, including changes in physical and emotional status.
- Ensure that changes in client status are reported to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Deliver prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times.
- Perform other related duties as required.
The RCTP is a short-stay restorative care program that supports medically stable adults who do not need an acute-care level of service but may require additional assessment, recuperation, and therapy before returning to the community.
Requirements- Graduation from Grade 12 is required, plus graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required.
- Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients.
- Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory is required.
- Related experience in a healthcare facility is an asset.
