Job Summary:

The Salad Bar Department Manager - Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Salad Bar department, ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise Salad Bar staff to provide efficient and courteous customer service
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
  • Maximize sales and gross profit, meeting sales goals and budgets
  • Organize and set up the department, ensuring proper signage and display
  • Minimize shrink and optimize reprocessing within the Produce department
  • Order, receive, and inventory merchandise, ensuring accurate stock levels
  • Hire and train part-time staff, scheduling clerks to control wage costs
  • Interpret and administer company policies, ensuring compliance with union contracts
  • Maintain equipment and ensure the safety and sanitation of the department

Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • Three to five years' experience in the retail Produce industry
  • Prior management experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma
