Job Summary:

The Salad Bar Department Manager - Customer Experience Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of the Salad Bar department, providing customers with the best quality products, and ensuring courteous, timely customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise all Salad Bar staff to secure efficient and courteous customer service.
  • Respond immediately to any customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times.
  • Maximize sales and gross profit, ensuring sales' goals and budgets are met.
  • Be responsible for organizing and setting up the department, ensuring proper signage is received, made up, and put up correctly.
  • Responsible to maximize reprocessing daily within the Produce department, effectively assisting the Produce Manager in minimizing shrink within the Produce department.
  • Responsible for ordering, receiving, inventory, and display of merchandise.
  • Hire all part-time staff and train new employees.
  • Schedule all Salad Bar clerks, ensuring the strict control of wage costs.
  • Interpret and administer Company policy and ensure compliance with the union contract.
  • Ensure the maintenance of equipment as well as the safety and sanitation of the department.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, night shifts, and weekends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Three to five years' experience in the retail Produce industry.
  • Prior management experience is a definite asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum Grade 12 Diploma.
