The primary responsibility of the Salad Bar Operations Supervisor is to ensure the seamless operation of the Salad Bar section, delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all Salad Bar personnel to guarantee efficient and friendly customer interactions. Address customer inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly, maintaining a high standard of customer relations. Drive sales and profitability, ensuring that sales targets and budgets are achieved. Organize and set up the department, ensuring that all signage is accurate and displayed correctly. Optimize daily reprocessing within the Produce section, assisting the Produce Manager in reducing waste. Manage ordering, receiving, inventory control, and merchandise presentation. Recruit and train part-time staff, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles. Schedule Salad Bar clerks while maintaining strict control over labor costs. Interpret and enforce company policies, ensuring adherence to union agreements. Maintain equipment and uphold safety and sanitation standards within the department. Perform additional duties as necessary.Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage pressure effectively. Three to five years of experience in the retail produce sector. Previous management experience is a significant advantage. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum of a Grade 12 diploma. Success Factors:
