Job Title: Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Shift Manager to join our team at A&W. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and quality food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff, and estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
  • Hire food service staff, and prepare budget and cost estimates.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports, and establish work schedules.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk.
